fisgard lighthouse is the canadian west coast’s first lighthouse and is still operational today! it was built by the british around 1860 before vancouver island was ever part of canada.
this particular day consisted of touring around the city of victoria and its outlying areas. i picked up a bite to eat in the late afternoon and headed to the waterfront. imagine my surprise when unexpectedly, this scene was staring at me!
