lighthouse morning
having returned to canada and chosen st. catharines as our new hometown, it was time to start exploring a little… here is the marina pier at sunrise, in port dalhousie, a community within the city of st. catharines. the lighthouse in the distance (extreme left of the frame) is located at the end of the harbour walkway trail and is known as the outer range lighthouse while the closer one is referred to as the inner lighthouse.

canal sunset
on one of the first couple of nights in varadero, cuba i climbed to the top of the puntarena hotel to catch the sunset. there were a couple of military personnel there and thought they were going to ask me to leave… they did not. we communicated with lots of hand gestures as I do not speak spanish and they did not speak english. as the sunset was starting to work its magic, i went back to my tripod and camera and captured this shot with the paso malo canal in view.
