Tracks Along The Prairies

continuing on a cross-country adventure that would take me from vancouver to toronto, these are railroad tracks at gull lake, saskatchewan. the old wooden grain elevator at the front seemed to be out of use; the one further back along the tracks would have been it’s metallic replacement. wonder if it is still standing?

morant’s curve

Morant's Curve

unbeknownst to me at the time, this is a spot along the bow valley parkway in banff national park known as morant’s curve. so named after nicholas morant, a photographer for the canadian pacific railway; because it was one of his favourite areas to photograph.

Here it is without train on a gorgeous summer’s day.
