on my very first getaway from greater port of spain, i headed to waterloo on the west coast of the island of trinidad. the overcast day, absent the habitual heat and sun, made it ideal for a road trip! located there is the temple in the sea (under renovations for my visit), a well known hindu site of worship. (if you are interested in its fascinating history and origins, please read here).

photographically, there was not much to be done with the temple itself on this day, so instead i focused on the boats resting in the waters just north of the temple. the clouds were doing their thing and provided for a wonderful sky and a lovely light for this early afternoon – not usual for this time of day.

i plan on returning there soon to photograph the temple itself.
